How do I get to the Library?
The SRMIST Library is situated on Medical College Road behind the SRM Royal Southern Hotel. It can also be reached by walk in 5 minutes from the main campus
 
When is it open?
All days 8.00 AM to 12.00 Midnight. The Library is closed on Govt. Holidays.
 
Who can use the Library?
All members of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology are welcome to use the Library. Academic staff and research Scholars from other institutions can apply to use the Library for reference. Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from sister concerns can produce their ID cards in the counter and to access the Library for reference during working hours.
 
What is Member ID? *
Member ID is a unique ID for each Student and Staff of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. It is authorized by Registrar / Assistant Registrar of SRM Institute of Science and Technology and provided by SRMIST Library. This unique ID can be used as Member ID for SRMIST Library transactions. With out Member ID, a Member can not use Library premises.
 
What is Login ID for e-Library Portal? *
Login ID is nothing but the Member ID provided to Member. Members can use their Member ID to login to e-Library portal for availing online facilities.
 
What is Login Password ? *
By default, the password for all the Members will be their Member ID. They can change their password once logged in to e-Library first time. They are also recommended / instructed to change their password at the first login.
 
I forgot my Login Password. What I sould do?*
To recover your password, you can contact Librarian (librarian@.srmuniv.ac.in)by sending e-mail with your Member ID, Name and Date of Birth details. You can also connect to the extension Numbers 7335 & 7336 regarding this.
 
I am a Member of SRM Institute of Science and Technology Library. But, I couldn't login to e-Library of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. What to do next?
You may experience login problems due to the following reasons.
1) You may have entered invalid Member ID. (ie) You should not enter the prefix alphabets of your Member ID in login. For example, If your Member ID is SE1010101010 then, you have to enter only 1010101010 as Login ID.
2) Your Membership may be inactive. ( In this case, you can contact Librarian / Library Help Desk Team)
3) Your Membership may be deleted. ( In this case, you can contact Librarian / Library Help Desk Team)
4) You may have entered invalid password for your Login ID.

What material does the Library have?
SRM Institute of Science and Technology Library is a Central Library, meaning that it is entitled to have book collections Engineering Technology, Medical and Health Sciences, Science and Humanities. Almost all of this material is claimed and can be consulted in the Library. It also holds extensive collections of books, journals, encyclopedias and sound recordings and it has extensive special collections of rare book materials

Where can I get a cup of tea?
The SRMIST Library has its own Cafeteria, open 9.30-5.00 pm during the week. Hot and cold food is also available for most of the day.
