Laptop Loan

Terms and Conditions

All Teaching Staff, Research Scholars and Final year students are eligible for availing Laptop in loan basis from Library for official, Research and Project work respectively.

Laptop Loan will be provided only for 15 days.

Laptop Loan will be based on the Reservation which can be done through this site.

If you are a eligible member for Laptop Loan and having problems in reserving for Laptop, you can report here.

Circulating Laptops

Laptops with wireless network connections are available for checkout by SRM Institute of Science and Technology for final year students, faculty and staff. Laptops can be issued for a period of 15 days.

Circulating on Locations

Circulation of laptops will be available at Browsing Centre (1st Floor) between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM

Terms of Usage

Checked out laptops are to be returned on the date specified, otherwise a late fee will be charges @ 50/- per day.

Note: Users from outside the SRMIST will need to follow special procedures to gain access to the wireless network.

Connecting to the Wireless Network

Make sure you have a wireless card installed in your laptop.

Once you have correctly installed a wireless card you will need to configure the card for it to properly work with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology network. For instructions on how to configure wireless cards Contact ITKM (Information Technology & Knowledge Management)

Connecting to the Wired Network

You can also connect your laptop to the SRM Institute of Science and Technology's wired network with an Ethernet card. Network ports are available at library Browsing Center. Ask library staff about the location of network ports. Network cables are available at the Browsing Center.

Wireless Network

The wireless network is generally accessible only at browsing center and entry lobby of library. Ask library staff for details
