If you are unable to login to e-Library
 To login e-Library, you need login ID and password. All SRM Institute of Science and Technology staff and students are given login ID and password when they join.
If you have no Member ID card, please contact the ID card in-charge in the library to obtain the ID card that contains the login ID.
Once you get the login ID, you can connect to the e-Library through http://library.srmuniv.edu. You have to enter only numbers in the Member ID box and your password in the password box. For example, if your login ID is SE1010101010, then you have to enter only 1010101010 in the Member ID.
You can also contact the Librarian or Web Master if the problem persists again. |

| If you forget your Password of your Login
Members are requested to remember their password and keep changing the password at regular intervals. In case, you forgot your password, you can send e-mails to librarian@ktr.srmuniv.ac.in (or) senthilkumar.mks@ktr.srmuniv.ac.in Also, you can call extension numbers 1335 and 1336 in SRM Institute of Science and Technology campus. |

| If you unable to find a Book in the Rack
In our Library, Books are categorized by Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Management in floor wise. We keep all the books by arranging them in respective Racks and shelves. A guide board is also there on the top of the each Rack containing book information. If you find any difficulty in getting any book, please contact Librarian or Deputy Librarian or Documentation Officer with the following Information of the Book to serve you better. | If you unable to get the book you wanted
You can contact the floor in-charge for help in each floor. Before that you please confirm the availablity of the book by checking the status. You can also recommend that book to Library through your HOD if no copy or no sufficient copies available in the Library. |

| If you have lost a Library material (Books, CDs, Laptops, etc.,) which is issued in your Account
Members are, in whole responsible for the materials issued in their account. If you lost any of the materials in your account, you have to replace the material with the fine if any. |

| If you have lost your Member ID Card
All the Members are requested to keep their Member ID card safe. The Member ID card is essential to enter into Library and using Library belongings. If you have lost your ID card, then you are advised to inform the Library immediately to block your account from misusing. We are not responsible any malpractice of your ID card. To obtain duplicate ID card, you have to be authorized by your class in-charge, HOD, Director or Associate Director. You have to pay Rs. 1000/- in the Library circulation counter to get the bill. Then, apply for duplicate ID card by filling form which is available with ID card in-charge. |

| If you unable to reserve a Book
e-Reservation of Books and Laptops are available through our Library portal http://library.srmuniv.edu. Remember the following when reserving a book. a) The books available only in the Central Library can be reserved b) Reservation of books done only when no single book is available for issue c) Reference Books not considered for Reservation d) Each member can reserve maximum 2 books. e) It is advised to the member to check the reservation status through http://library.srmuniv.edu often. f) As soon as the books available, an e-mail alert will be sent to the reserved Member The members asked to collect the books within 2 days if the reservation status shows "Available", failing which the reservations will be cancelled and it goes to next member who is in the queue g) Members can not reserve the books already issued in their Membership. For e-Reservation, you have to login the e-Library portal first using your member ID and password. Search for the book you wanted using Search Link. Click on the Title of the book to get the "Availablity" Status. If no book is available for issue, then you will be enabled a Reservation Link in the bottom of the window of the same page. Click the Reserve link and enter your mobile number and e-mail for contact. You will be mailed and an SMS may be also sent when the book is available for you. You can check the status of your reservation through http://library.srmuniv.edu If you find difficulty of reserving any book, please contact Librarian (or) Laptop Incharge (or) Web Master in 1336 & 1337 Extension in SRM Institute of Science and Technology for help. |

| If you unable to reserve for Laptop
Dear Member, Please remember the following when reserving a Laptop 1. Only Final Year Student Members and Research Scholars are eligible to get a Laptop on loan basis from Library. 2. Laptop Loan will be based on the order of the Reservation and availability of Laptops. 3. Laptops will be loaned for a period of 14 days only. It should be returned on or before the due date, failing which Rs. 50/- will be collected as over due charges per day. 4. An intimation of the availability of Laptop will be sent to the Reserved Member through E-Mail registered with us. 5. An SMS may also be sent about the availability of Laptop. 6. The Loan period will not be extended / Transfer is not permitted. If you eligible for Laptop Loan then you will see a Laptop option under e-Reservation. You follow the link to give your email and mobile number for contact and click Reserve. If you are eligible and unable to reserve for Laptop, please contact Librarian (or) Laptop Incharge (or) Web Master in 1336 & 1337 Extension in SRM Institute of Science and Technology for help. |
